- The Department of Justice and Attorney-General’s Dispute Resolution Centre offers a free mediation service that you may want to consider.
- There are often costs involved when making an application. It’s important that you have all the information before moving forward.
- Time limits may apply for making applications. You can check your matter type for more information.
- You must identify the correct parties to the application and the correct legal name must be used for the parties. Please note that QCAT staff cannot give you advice about who the correct parties are.
- You need to know the location of the other party so you can provide them with a copy of the application.
- Make sure you have evidence and/or witnesses who are able to prove your case
- It’s important to note that in most matters you will need to represent yourself.
